Leadership

All Church leaders are called to help other people become true followers of Jesus Christ. To do this, leaders first strive to be the Savior’s faithful disciples, living each day so that they can return to live in God’s presence. Then they can help others develop strong testimonies and draw nearer to Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ.

Board of Deacons
The Deacons strive to live up to the Biblical qualifications of a Deacon. They visit the sick and shut-ins, Commune them and receive new members into the Church.  The Deacon Board also manages the audio and video tape ministries, bus ministry, and, leads prayer meetings.

Board of Trustees
The Trustees are elected annually to carry out the following functions:

• Financial Processes – Accounting, Contributions, Banking, Budgets
• Property Management and Acquisitions.
• Approves and Sign all Contracts.
• Hires all salaried and non- salaried personnel, with the exception of Pastoral positions.

Deacons Auxiliary

Members of the Deacons Auxiliary are a group of women dedicated to the cause of Christ, set aside to serve as helpmates to the Board of Deacons. The auxiliary is responsible for preparing female candidates for Baptism, and, providing a service of Christian nurturing for those in need.

Adult Work Ministry
The Adult Work Ministry is responsible for planning and implementing educational programs for the adult members of the Church. Ministries under the Adult Works banner include the following:

The Board of Christian Education Committee organizes, administers and supervises the church’s entire educational program.

Executive Council
The Executive Council is comprised of Deacons, Trustees, Presidents and Vice Presidents of all church organizations. It acts as the voice of the entire church in working closely with the Pastor in carrying out church wide activities.

The Leadership Development Ministry is committed to the ministries of the Grace Baptist Church of Germantown to accomplish growth through learning opportunities and practices that encourage leadership responsibilities along with teaching Christian values and principles to prepare a way for others to follow. The program of training for all educational leaders includes Church Wide Study held every Spring.
